Manhattan’s Midtown West is an exciting, fast paced section of New York City. It’s the place where there’s always something going on--from sunup to sundown.

From 34th Street to 57th and Fifth Avenue to the Hudson River, Midtown is where tourists throng, commuters come in and Manhattanites mingle. When one dreams of the bright lights of New York City, this is it.

Midtown West encompasses some of the most recognizable Big Apple attactions: Rockefeller Center displays its massive Christmas tree, the New Year’s ball drop, the Empire State Building and Carnegie Hall that premiers the greatest artists and musicians in the world.

Penn Station brings thousands of commuters in and out of the city everyday and Madison Square Garden is there, hosting countless sports and entertainment extravaganzas.

The sights, sounds and energy of Midtown West are beyond description--from the flashing billboards and lights of Times Square to the drama and history of the Theater District and Broadway to the gritty elegance of Hell’s Kitchen and picturesque Restaurant Row, most agree Midtown is the driving pulse of Manhattan.

Luxury condos and co-ops are part of the landscape throughout this vibrant area. The Cassa Hotel and Residences’ newly renovated condos and penthouses were chosen for Showtime Network’s designer showcase in 2010. The WorldWide Plaza at 350 West 50th Street housing commercial and residential spaces takes up an entire city block and and Archstone Midtown West is right in the middle of Times Square at West 50th Street.

The largest research library in the world is The New York Public Library, located on Fifth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets and ajacent to beautiful Bryant Park. The library’s dramatic entrance and Beaux-Arts architecture has served as a backdrop for television and film for decades.

The Museum of Modern Art, Radio City Music Hall, Studio 54 and Club 21--all iconic New York City symbols are in Midtown. Tiffany’s on Fifth Avenue is the flagship store depicited in Breakfast at Tiffany’s where Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) stands outside the window enjoying a pastry and coffee.

Pier 84 at West 44th and 43rd streets is the largest public pier in Hudson River Park and one of Midtown West’s best spring and summer relaxation spots with fishing, dog runs, water taxis, restaurants and shopping. This is the spot that Grace Kelly set sail to marry the Prince of Monaco.

Manhattan Botannical Gardens, started in 1994 and improved by volunteers and supported by the New York City Parks and Recreation commissioners, is a lovely haven that locals and visitors enjoy. This green and colorful garden space is a source of pride for those who had a hand in its development. This is the garden that sparked the idea for “satellite” gardens throughout Manhattan. These spaces are tended solely by volunteer gardeners that utilize native plants. Next door to the Garden is Manhattan’s Intrepid Sea and Air Museum.

Midtown West is the place for those who thrive in a “the city that never sleeps” atmosphere. It is quintessential New York and most likely where Frank Sinatra was referring to as the “right through the heart of it, New York.”

Skyscrapers, attractions, world-class restaurants, luxury hotels and condominiums and shopping make up this urban oasis, and with Central Park nearby, there’s always a place to rejunvenate before the next meeting, audition or night on the town.
